Activities include:
- Cycling safari through the gorge
- Walking trails among wildlife
- Fisher’s Tower and Central Tower hikes
- Geothermal spa at Olkaria
Lake Naivasha Boat Rides
A classic Naivasha experience; guided boat rides on the freshwater lake offer close encounters with hippo pods, African fish eagles, pelicans, and flocks of flamingos in their natural habitat.
Activities include:
- Hippo-watching at close range
- Birdwatching (400+ species recorded)
- Sunset cruise on the lake
- Crescent Island bush walk extension
Flower Farm Tour
A rare behind-the-scenes look at one of Kenya’s most important industries — Lake Naivasha sits at the heart of East Africa’s flower-growing region, and a guided farm tour offers a fascinating and fragrant experience unlike any other in the Rift Valley.
Activities include:
- Guided walk through vast greenhouse flower fields
- Learn the journey from seed to supermarket shelf
- Photography among rose, carnation and lily blooms
- Meet the farm workers and learn about sustainable practices
Crescent Island Guided Bush Walk
A sanctuary of stillness on the eastern shore of Lake Naivasha — Crescent Island is a private wildlife sanctuary where you walk freely among giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and waterbuck with no fences and no vehicles, just you and the animals.
Activities include:
- Self-guided or guided bush walk among free-roaming wildlife
- Birdwatching along the lake shoreline
- Scenic views across Lake Naivasha and the Rift Valley escarpment
- Boat transfer from the mainland to the island
Game Drives & Sundowners
Experience the magic of the Naivasha wilderness at its most golden — our evening game drives take you into the bush as the sun descends over the Rift Valley, culminating in a classic African sundowner with drinks in hand and wildlife all around you.
Activities include:
- Late afternoon 4×4 game drive through Naivasha conservancies
- Spot buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hippo and prolific birdlife
- Carefully chosen sundowner spot with panoramic Rift Valley views
- Drinks and light snacks served in the bush at sunset
Bush Breakfast & Bush Dinners
Dining in the wild is an experience that transforms a meal into a memory — Crescent Shores Retreats sets up beautifully arranged bush breakfasts and dinners in hand-picked locations around Lake Naivasha, where the only soundtrack is birdsong, the wind, and the distant call of wildlife.
Activities include:
- Sunrise bush breakfast with lake or escarpment views
- Candlelit bush dinner under a canopy of stars
- Fully catered with locally sourced Kenyan cuisine
- Perfect for honeymoon couples, family celebrations and group retreats
Hiking & Nature Walks — Mt Longonot & Eburru Forest
For the adventurous spirit, the Naivasha region offers two of Kenya’s most rewarding hikes within easy reach — the volcanic crater rim of Mount Longonot and the ancient indigenous forest of Eburru, both rich in scenery, wildlife and fresh highland air.
Activities include:
- Mt Longonot crater rim hike with sweeping Rift Valley panoramas
- Full crater circuit walk (approximately 3–4 hours)
- Eburru Forest guided nature walk through indigenous montane forest
- Spot colobus monkeys, rare birds and unique highland flora in Eburru
Day Trip to Lake Nakuru & Aberdares National Park
Extend your Naivasha experience with a full-day excursion to two of Kenya’s most celebrated parks — both less than two hours away and offering wildlife and scenery that rival any destination in East Africa.
Activities include:
- Lake Nakuru game drive — famous for Birdlife, rhino, lion, and leopard
- Aberdares National Park forest drive spotting elephant, buffalo and giant forest hog
- Visit to Thomson’s Falls in Nyahururu (optional extension)
- All ground transport, park entry and a packed lunch included
I booked a solo Naivasha excursion and it was exactly what I needed. The quiet, the fresh air, and the personal attention from the team made it the most restorative trip I’ve had in years.
A wonderful family experience with unforgettable memories, the animals literally pose with you, truly worthwhile
The honeymoon safari package was everything we dreamed of, from the accommodation they booked to the private lakeside dinner. The attention to detail from Crescent Shores was extraordinary.
